There is a big disconnect between community needs and priorities, environmental science and engineering practice, and the ways in which policy agendas are set.
The goal of SNCC is to leverage my interdisciplinary skill-set in a holistic way to address gaps at the technical-political-social justice nexus for private companies, government agencies, academia, and community based organizations.
I am both a proficient scientist-researcher and engineer, giving me a unique perspective across starkly different industries. I utilize technical knowledge and data to address climate and equity issues through research and analysis. My background in GIS mapping, data, and the arts allow me to tell a complete story about the problem at hand. My work is grounded by my ability to communicate complex and sensitive topics in an accessible manner, whether that’s to a client or to the public.
Solutions are not one-size-fits-all, and it takes a unique perspective to tell compelling stories that illuminate the path to a more climate-conscious and just future.
I have conducted multidisciplinary academic research at the national and international levels, consulted on civil engineering projects in the public sector, and served as technical assistant and project manager on non-profit research endeavors for community justice advocates and government stakeholders.
My passion is for projects in water, food, environment, and the climate space, ranging from technical work (data analysis, science, engineering) to soft work (facilitation, communications, stakeholder engagement).
